Three Legged Bear White Claws
A Florida family recently saw something rather unusual happen to their home security system: a three-legged bear stealing White Claw hard seltzers from their outdoor refrigerator.
Josaury Faneite-Diglio of Lake Maria, Florida, told CBS News that his home security system alerted him to movement outside the garage.
"I immediately checked and saw a bear," he said via Facebook Messenger. "But as soon as I saw him walking and limping, I knew it was a tripod."
The park is known in the area because the bear has only three legs. "He does no harm," Faneite-Diglio said. "We are surrounded by wildlife, deer, snakes, coyotes and bears. This is their habitat. We respect them and give them space."
She said she called her son, who was home, and already knew something was wrong because their dog, Bruno, started barking. Outdoor surveillance cameras spotted the moose in Tripodi's yard, and Faneite-Diglio's son began filming and capturing the bear by opening the outdoor refrigerator from a position inside the house.
"As you may know, it's hot here in Florida, so Tripod Bear needed a refresher, and when he opened the cooler, he decided to go for the White Claws," Faneite-Diglio said. Photos taken after Tripodi left show him opening a keg fridge and taking out three cans of White Claw Hard Seltzer. He broke a hole in at least one can, so he drank it, Faneite-Diglio said. The bear also approached her aquarium and took fish food, she said.
