Due to their busy schedules, Rachel Riley and Pasha Kovalev have said that they are "like ships that pass in the night."

The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, 43, and the Channel 4 Countdown presenter, 37, have been married since 2019. They also have two children together, Maven, age 2, and Noa, age 1.

In a recent interview, Rachel discussed her marriage to Pasha and her family.

I guess it's family time more than anything right now, the celebrity told The Sun. Due to his extended absence, we have a very uncommon date night.

When you first start dating, it's a big deal if they go away for three months while you've only been dating for one.

"However, it kind of changes your perspective when you've been together for the better part of a decade and you can see future of however many more decades that you get together."

She continued, "When you have kids as well, on a daily basis, I'm simply like 'what am I doing this afternoon'; it's summer vacation and I've got to keep them occupied; and we will see him here and everywhere when he's around.

We're eager to visit friends we haven't seen in a while, and it just so happens that we've planned our trip to Brighton to coincide with his performance there. I need to be more organised because I have so many things going on.

In her subsequent statement, Rachel continued, "It's nice to have date nights especially as we can be ships that pass in the night, especially when you have kids as well."

The way Pasha and Rachel met

When they were partnered on Strictly Come Dancing in 2013, Rachel and Pasha first got to know one another there.

The duo was ultimately eliminated in week six after falling to Abbey Clancy and Aljaz Skorjanec in a dance-off.

The couple discussed how they were an unusual fit during their appearance on Loose Women. Originally from Essex, Rachel claimed she enjoyed maths and football but had never anticipated getting married to a ballroom dancer.
